These terms are a contract between you (or the organization you represent) and Korner Studio Sàrl. They're written to be read, not just filed — if a clause is unclear, ask us at support@silverlines.app before you rely on it.
01Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using silverlines.app, prod.silverlines.app, Silverlines for iPad, SL-Frames, or SL-Files (together, the "Services" and each a "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you're accepting on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" in these Terms means that organization.
If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
02The service
Silverlines is a production management application for film, video, and commercial shoots, covering development, production, and selected post-production and delivery coordination — including script breakdown, budgeting, casting, location scouting, scheduling, call sheets, daily reports, Vault, and delivery workflows. It is not a video editor and does not replace editorial, color grading, VFX, or finishing software.
Silverlines is provided as a production workspace for desktop and iPad, with a separate crew-facing phone view. SL-Frames and SL-Files are standalone companion apps described in §9. Features, modules, supported devices, and user interfaces may evolve over time as described in §17.
03Eligibility & accounts
The Service is intended for business/professional use in the film and video production industry. You must be able to form a legally binding contract to create an account. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials; notify us immediately at support@silverlines.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
An account owner may invite other users (crew, guests, collaborators) to a production. Access levels for invited users are controlled by the account owner or their delegated administrators through the Service's department-access features.
04Plans, pricing & payment
Current Silverlines access information and any confirmed pricing we publish appear at silverlines.app/#pricing and form part of these Terms by reference. Silverlines is currently in private beta and access is handled by request; the website does not offer self-service plan checkout today. If paid Silverlines plans are offered directly, their published currency, limits and billing terms apply. Products purchased through the Apple App Store (see §9) instead use Apple's billing, renewal and refund terms.
- Billing — paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, at your choice) via our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method on each renewal until you cancel.
- Price changes — we may change prices for future billing periods; we'll give you reasonable advance notice, and continued use of a paid plan after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
- Taxes — prices are exclusive of applicable taxes (e.g. VAT) unless stated otherwise; you're responsible for any taxes owed on your subscription.
- Refunds — except where required by law, fees are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods.
- Non-payment — we may suspend or downgrade an account for failed or overdue payment after reasonable notice.
05Beta & free access
Any beta or free Silverlines access is provided at no charge subject to the limits communicated when access is granted or published on the pricing page. We may modify those limits going forward; existing users will receive reasonable notice of a material reduction where practicable. SL-Frames and SL-Files remain standalone products and are not included or unlocked by Silverlines beta or free access.
06Your data & content
As between you and us, you own the content you create in the Service — scripts, budgets, schedules, notes, uploaded files, and everything else you or your team put into a production. We claim no ownership over it.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display your content solely as necessary to provide and support the Service to you (for example, syncing it across your devices and to invited crew members, or generating a PDF call sheet on your request). This license ends when the relevant content is deleted from the Service, subject to standard backup-retention timing.
You're responsible for your content — for having the rights to upload it, and for its accuracy and legality. We're not obliged to review it, but may remove content that violates §8 or applicable law.
You can export your data at any time via the Service's export features, and for a limited period after account closure as described in our Privacy Policy.
07Personal data of others you add
Running a production means entering personal data about people who aren't you — cast, crew, vendors, and contacts. For that data, you are the data controller and we act as your data processor, processing it only to provide the Service and on your instructions. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to add someone's personal data to the Service (for example, because they're part of your crew and it's necessary to run the production) and for handling any requests from those individuals to exercise their own data protection rights. See our Privacy Policy for more detail, and contact support@silverlines.app if you need a data processing addendum for your organization.
08Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing on others' rights;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or the systems/networks connected to it;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where applicable law gives you the right to do so despite this restriction;
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own product, without our prior written consent;
- Upload malicious code, or interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
- Use automated means to scrape or extract data from the Service beyond normal use.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section, with notice where reasonably practicable.
09Companion apps
SL-Frames (an iOS scouting app for cinematographers, directors, and location teams) and SL-Files (a macOS backup-and-verification app for Digital Imaging Technicians) are companion products we also develop and operate. These Terms and our Privacy Policy govern your use of them. For copies licensed through an Apple App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also applies and these Terms supplement it. SL-Files 1.0.0 is available from the Mac App Store; SL-Frames 0.1.4 is in final pre-submission preparation and is not yet available on the App Store.
SL-Frames is standalone-first. No Silverlines account is required for local capture, planning, or export. You may optionally sign in to My SL Suite to view your profile and eligible productions, or use a production-issued code or QR without signing in. Connecting a local project never includes SL-Frames in a Silverlines plan. Only captures or RoomPlan artifacts you choose to send — manually by default or through an optional automatic-delivery setting — are delivered into that scoped Silverlines production. You are responsible for having permission to photograph, record, scan, and share the people and places you capture.
SL-Frames App Store pricing. At App Store launch, the planned United States prices are USD 5.00 per month and USD 29.99 per year for auto-renewing subscriptions, or USD 59.00 for a one-time, non-consumable lifetime unlock. The price and currency Apple displays in your storefront and on the purchase confirmation screen are the prices that apply; localized prices and taxes may vary by country or region.
SL-Frames renewals and purchase controls. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. You can restore eligible purchases in SL-Frames and manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings. The lifetime unlock is a restorable non-consumable purchase, not an auto-renewing subscription.
SL-Files is a standalone product and a free Mac App Store download. Verifying an existing backup is free, and the first 100 GB of offloads are free. Beyond that, unlimited offloads require a separate SL-Files purchase. Connecting SL-Files to a Silverlines production is optional and does not include, grant, or unlock an SL-Files license.
SL-Files in-app purchases. SL-Files offers a USD 19.99 auto-renewing monthly subscription and a USD 99.99 non-consumable lifetime unlock, purchased through Apple. Local App Store pricing may vary. A subscription renews for the same period at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can view the localized price and renewal date, restore eligible purchases, and manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings; payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
Apple handles billing and refunds. For SL-Frames and SL-Files purchases made through an App Store, Apple processes the payment. Billing, renewals, cancellations, purchase restoration, and refund eligibility are governed by Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, refund process, and the Standard EULA. Refund requests must be made to Apple. Section §4 above, which covers Silverlines plans purchased from us directly, does not apply to App Store purchases.
Direct edition. A separate direct-download edition of SL-Files with additional professional features is in development. It will require its own license; pricing will be announced when that edition launches.
10Intellectual property
We and our licensors own all right, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, design, and the "Silverlines," "SL-Frames," and "SL-Files" trademarks. Except for the limited rights expressly granted to you to use the Service, no rights are transferred to you under these Terms.
Any feedback or suggestions you give us about the Service may be used by us without restriction or obligation to you.
11Service availability & support
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access; the Service may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our reasonable control. Unless you have a separate written agreement with us specifying an uptime commitment, the Service is provided without a service-level guarantee.
Support is provided by email at support@silverlines.app. Any plan-specific support terms will be described in the confirmed plan details supplied to you.
12Term & termination
These Terms apply for as long as you use the Service. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law, with notice where reasonably practicable given the circumstances.
On termination, your right to access the Service ends; your content remains available for export for a limited period as described in §6, after which it may be deleted in accordance with our data retention practices.
13Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any content will be preserved without loss.
14Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from or related to these Terms or the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Each party's total liability arising out of or related to these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
15Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law, including data protection law relating to third-party personal data you add to the Service (see §7).
16Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection venue rules that cannot be excluded by agreement, the courts of the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
17Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example as the Service evolves or to reflect changes in the law. We'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, make reasonable efforts to notify account holders directly. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
18Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement — these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any order form or separate written agreement between you and us, constitute the entire agreement regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements on the subject.
- Severability — if any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be interpreted to best reflect its original intent.
- No waiver — failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment — you may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure — neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
